The authorities decided to extend the prevention measures initially reserved for only the regions most affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus in the north of the country to the whole territory due to the increase in the number of infections, which appear to be more than eight thousand five hundred, and with more than six hundred and thirty victims; but after this decision many people queued at supermarkets open at night in the big cities of the center-south of the country, unnecessarily exposing themselves to possible contagion. It is likely that the same progression of the virus may occur at different times across Europe and the risk of a pandemic is high as more than one hundred countries around the world are affected by the outbreak, although it is still possible to avoid it by taking containment and mitigation measures to prevent it. In the meantime the situation has improved in China, while in Japan there is a debate on whether to declare a state of emergency and there are health issues also in Iran. To note that some subjects are genetically susceptible to the virus due to the presence of many protein receptors in the respiratory tree.
