Torrential rain in Catalonia in Spain

There are reportedly two missing persons in Catalonia (an "autonomous" community in the northeast of Spain) due to heavy rains that have caused flooding, interrupting railway and road traffic in some cases, uprooting trees and causing inconveniences, while authorities warn the population to be careful; it is also mentioned that there are heavy rainfalls in other areas along the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Overall June ranks second for warming after 2024. Floods in Texas and fires in California

There are at least twenty-sven victims and about twenty missing (girls) due to a flooding caused by the Guadalupe river that affected an area in south-central Texas in the Kerr County where summer camps for children and teenagers have been set up as a tradition every year. Intense rainfall during the night raised the level of the Guadalupe river by eight meters in forty-five minutes; authorities sent rescue and missing persons search teams, but some complained about the lack of warnings (which should theoretically have been sent to smartphones alerting people to take cover due to the imminent danger). As regard the California a large fire is consuming the rather dry vegetation in San Luis Obispo County with evacuations occurring on State Route 166 which has been partially closed.

Marine heatwaves in the Mediterranean

Among the causes of the high temperatures recorded on the Mediterranean coasts with values sometimes well above the averages the question is raised whether the marine heatwaves in the Mediterranean with monitored values in some areas of the sea reaching up to four degrees Celsius higher than the averages may have played a significant role. Climate variations affect all countries bordering the Mediterranean and some cite the example of Turkey recently facing hundreds of fires with casualties and damage and Greece still experiencing fires with evacuations and inconveniences, (then hundreds the victims for the heat in the South of Spain).
