Transition to renewable energy too slow
The volatility of energy prices in many markets is highlighting how the transition to renewable energy has been too slow and the cost of goods is destined to increase as a result due to the turbulence of demand. It seems that in Brazil among the population with less economic possibilities are forced to choose whether to pay for food or electricity and in Europe wonder if in the event of a cold winter will have sufficient gas reserves also to support the economy and agriculture (since many production chains can be connected to the availability and price of gas as well as other fossil fuels). The twenty most industrialized economies in the world since the start of 2020 would have invested more in the search for new sources of fossil fuels than in clean energy despite the Paris agreements on reducing polluting emissions.
