Shenzhen n-Cov quarantine in China

To try to control an outbreak of infections in Shenzhen the health authorities would have decided on a quarantine for the seventeen million inhabitants in the metropolis in southern China and containment measures have also been imposed in Shanghai and other large cities for what is called the zero Covid strategy (in practice vast quarantines and immediate mass tests), but some say that this method has reached the limit of its potential effectiveness. The Omicron variant causes fewer deaths and perhaps the strategy could eventually be changed. Of note by changing the subject the increase in the number of infections monitored lately in France and Italy probably due to the BA.2 omicron variant.
