Climate crisis is also detrimental to health

The naturalistic climate crisis and that related to human health should not be assessed separately, at least in the opinion of more than two hundred medical journals that warn international health organizations of the potential significant danger (to be declared as a global emergency) to human health for climate change and biodiversity loss. Among the factors to be taken into account as intertwined are rising temperatures, extreme events and the decline of wild species; in fact, for example, in the latter case tens of thousands of species have been forced into close contact due to the exploitation of human territory, increasing the exchange of pathogens with the risk of the onset of new diseases. Global warming must be stopped at an average of one and a half degrees of increase before the damage becomes irreversible.
