Proposals to ban the Use of AI for explicit content
Many countries are considering imposing limits, bans, and safeguards on the use of an artificial intelligence application to post so-called deepfake explicit content online (essentially posting false images of a person in a "state of undress" without consent) created using a controversial chatbot. Malaysia and Indonesia are the first countries to have blocked the application, the United Kingdom is proposing legislation to punish those who post intimate images online without consent, France has alerted its cyber control platform, Italy issued a notice from the privacy regulatory authority and there have been various initiatives taken for example by Sweden and India. It should be noted that a large amount of energy is required to support these generative AI chatbots with inevitable related pollution.
