Run in natural environments or on treadmill

Running outdoors in favorable naturalistically environments typically according to the statements of this typical fitness discipline give more satisfaction and helps train better the body compared to a more comfortable indoors treadmills (but also safer since for example on the street can happen unpleasant incidents or worse, as happened recently in Calabria); then apparently the simulated ride does not perceive good speed and is tend to estimate it higher. To fix the training effect of this misperception experts advise to increment by one degree the treadmill incline and compensate by increasing the speed of the device the lack of wind and the various rough edges. Running outdoors also allows to synthesize vitamin D through the skin with a controlled exposure to sunlight.

Intense exercises and muscle cell mitochondria

A few minutes of high intensity exercise training muscles alter the mechanism of calcium into cells, at least according to Swedish researchers who would have established that three minutes of intense exercises activate calcium channels in the muscle cells with the formation of new mitochondria and therefore the overall endurance of the musculature. The test has been carried out by cycling with intense effort of male subjects for thirty seconds on the bike followed by four minutes of rest, then repeat the routine five times. Muscle tissue samples analyzed would show an increase of free radicals that oxidize proteins in muscle cells; instead vitamins like C and E hampering the flow of calcium channels and this might explain why antioxidants may weaken the muscular response in exercises related to resistance training.

Use with caution of spray type ice effect

If is use the anesthetics spray type to ice effect to treat the bruises from quite rude contact sports should be to check the chemical composition and look that appear natural ingredients like menthol and camphor, at least according to a study conducted in Germany that has verified as spray are available on the market containing chloroethane, often used as a fuel additive, which can be toxic when used on open wounds and improperly. Generally then all such containers should be kept at a certain distance (at least thirty centimeters) from the area of the sore body through injury even to avoid skin irritation. Can immediately replace standing may seem positive, but the body with the pain indicate that needs of care and rest; so for amateur sportsmen is better to stop and use the classic and cheap bag full of ice cubes.

Maybe a gene for crucial ligament injury in athletes

The rupture of anterior crucial ligament of the knee is an inauspicious event in the life of an athlete, which occurs particularly in sports that require frequent lateral movements and sometimes it can bring to the end of high levels sport performance, for this reason researchers in Australia are focusing on eventual specific genes predisposing to these strict musculoskeletal soft tissue injuries that impair the functionality of the fibrous connective tissue of the ligament (to test only with a blood sample and fill out a questionnaire). A small study carried out previously advanced the hypothesis that there might be a link between collagen genes that control structures of ligaments and tendons. To note that to prevent injuries generally is useful to make a good heating muscle stretching and postural training.

Circadian rhythms and athletic performance

Athletes who get up early in the morning (known in the jargon as larks) reach the athletic performance peak at lunchtime, while those who get up late (owls in jargon) in the evening hours, at least from what appears to be an English study that would have highlighted how circadian rhythms can impact significantly on athletic performance much to explain why some athletic teams are favored in some competitions and how biological clock controls every aspect of daily rhythm. Typically the athletic peak would reach in average in the afternoon, but the habits connected to the sleep and their schedules can impact heavily on performance; in fact from a test carried out by monitoring travel times over a distance of twenty meters at various times by a group of twenty hockey players would have been a significant difference in performance between the players who were raising early and those later.

Expel the accumulated fat from the lungs

Analyzing in the body the path of atoms during the metabolic process that allows to burn fat reserves accumulated in the adipocytes Australian researchers have noticed that when lose weight the fat is partially expelled in its base components from the lungs, only the share of carbon dioxide; but that's not to say that just make hyperventilation exercises to lose weight and then as always we train the body with hard work and perseverance. Triglycerides as the name suggests are composed of three types of atoms (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen) and when the molecule is broken produce about a fifth of water, which is ejected with the sweat and quickly replaced by drinking water, and four-fifths of carbon dioxide expelled from the lungs which can be reintroduced only eating or wih caloric liquids (gesture to avoid if we desire to lose weight).

Running even a few minutes a day

Usually think that for stay healthy must do a lot of exercise and to run but it seems such runners who run a few minutes a day at moderate speed, for less than an hour a week, have the same life expectancy regarding the mortality rate due to cardiovascular problems and other causes of damage to the health of those who run for three hours a week, at least from what appears to an American study carried out on adults over fifty-five thousand runners during a period of fifteen years, so the more time spend on long-run might not be conducive to longevity. The runners have a life expectancy three years older than non-runners, and researchers have found the greatest benefit in those who run an average for six consecutive years, then it is also useful to prevent obesity, hypertension and the little healthy habit of smoking.

Trauma from contact sports to the study

It was thought that the trauma resulting from contact sports could heal in seven to ten days and for this reason had been established for safety by the Swedish sports authorities a recovery period of a month, but a study conducted in the country showed that for example in the case of boxing after being knocked out may take more than four months to heal. The simple trauma that can arise for amateurs who practice boxing workout cause damage to nerve cells that require more than two weeks for recovery. These considerations were made by analyzing the markers in cerebrospinal fluid after the little salutary trauma from contact highlighting damage to the nerve cells in the case of repeated trauma, and this technique can also be used for other sports besides the typical type of physical and psychological examinations.

New very sensitive methods against doping

Using a chemical binder to detect even small amounts of steroids and amphetamines American researchers would be able to significantly improve the results data from one type of examination very used to detect doping cases as the mass spectrography, which in practice uses an electron beam to "turn the atoms in charged particles" to analyze the urine in order to detect traces of steroids or other anabolic that remain in the body a couple of years after they was taken. The difficulty in identifying the various components of performance-enhancing drugs derive from the fact that they are very small and have a negative charge that does not produce enough signal to be detected in the examination, but if it is approved with this new economic technique that detects even the smallest metabolites (also in the case of any chemical systems of coverage) should be easier to uncover doping cases.

Unjustified popularity for steroids in Australia

The availability of performance-enhancing supplements like steroids in Australia and their popularity especially among young people is growing, but the country's health authorities warn that these medicines have side effects often not known by the children who attend gyms, due to cardiovascular problems, abnormally developed muscles and testicular atrophy, without consider that there have been several cases of deaths (twenty-four individuals between 1996 and 2012). The tendency in those who take steroids is also taking other medicines to enhance the effects as well as psycho-stimulants that contribute to worsen the situation at the level of physical fitness and of health in people who go to the gym with the declared intention of keeping in shape. Among the hormones identified in these supplements has been reported testosterone, one known steroid with androgenic action and then masculinizing.
