Floods in Morocco and Bolivia
There are reportedly at least twenty-one victims and thirty-two injured in Morocco due to floods caused by torrential rainfall that affected the old town of the coastal city of Safi, three hundred and thirty kilometers from the capital Rabat, seventy homes and shops are said to have been damaged and roads in the Atlantic province of Safi became impassable and damaged. Just one hour of heavy rain was enough to flood the houses and weather forecasts predict more intense rainfall to come. but the country had been suffering from seven years of drought, which had emptied the main water basins, with scorching summers that had damaged crops and made working in the fields practically impossible. To report turning the attention to Bolivia that there are six victims and twenty people missing due to floods with muddy water and debris in the eastern areas of the country.

Floods in Canada in areas of British Columbia
Authorities in British Columbia have reportedly stated that it is time to take action after the floods in the Fraser Valley, which for some recalled the disastrous ones in 2021, with flooding from the Nooksack River in neighboring Washington state affecting hundreds of homes and farms, forcing school closures; then the main highway connecting Metro Vancouver with the rest of Canada was impassable, with entire areas resembling lakes. To report shifting the attention in the Gaza Strip complaints for the limited aid provided to the population affected by the floods caused by the storm "Byron"; in fact, the death toll is reported to have risen to sixteen (several children were frostbitten), with people finding themselves deprived of essential goods swept away by water and storms.

High hydrogeological risk in Kalimantan in Indonesia
Since about ninety percent of the thirteen thousand hectares of natural forests in Kalimantan have been cut down to supply the timber industry, mainly to produce pulpwood, there are fears that an ecological crisis could hit the island in the coming years and as recently happened with the cyclone "Senyar" deforestation greatly increased the hydrogeological instability of the area, then there are also complaints from environmentalists about the use of elephants, which are a protected species, almost as if they were types of bulldozers to move heavy debris brought by floods across large areas of Aceh. To report shifting attention to the Gaza Strip that the storm "Byron" caused forteen deaths and flooded the fragile tent camps also significantly lowering temperatures, then it also appears that the collapsed buildings for conflicts where displaced people often take refuge were further damaged.

Combination of climate change and monsoon rains
Torrential rainfall whose effects are significantly amplified by climate change is a decidedly unhealthy combination that has led to unprecedented devastation in parts of Southeast Asia, with at least sixteen hundred casualties reported, then according to researchers regarding the Cyclone "Senyar" over the Strait of Malacca warming in north of the Indian Ocean (caused by unregulated use of fossil fuels) added heat and moisture to the storm. To report changing the subject but remaining on natural topics that the Gaza Strip is about to be affected by Storm "Byron" which had already caused damage, for example in Puglia region in Italy and Greece, according to weather forecasts in addition to heavy rain and strong gusts of wind hail could also occur on the fragile tent camps of the displaced.

Possible aftershocks in Japan
After the magnitude 7.5 earthquake with an epicenter in the Pacific Ocean about eighty kilometers from the coast of Aomori in the northernmost prefecture on the island of Honshu which recently shook Japan causing thirty-four injuries, one of them serious, with falling objects in homes and other damage (in a country generally used to dealing with this type of event) authorities have warned the population that aftershocks may occur and to take preventive precautions. There have been reports of power outages and suspensions of high-speed railway lines. To report on a different note but still related to natural phenomena the alarming retreat of glaciers recently monitored in Italy, particularly the dire situation of the Adamello glacier which is now at its final stages.

Fires in New South Wales in Australia
More than sixty fires have affected thousands of hectares in New South Wales about forty-five kilometers north of Sydney Australia’s largest city, with reports of several destroyed homes, important infrastructure damaged, put crops and national parks at risk, and authorities fear a challenging fire season after a relatively calm period. To report changing the subject but still focusing on environmental issues as in Indonesia there are reportedly protests over areas affected by floods that have been left without aid, with extremely difficult living conditions, particularly in Aceh which has remained isolated; then is also noted that an ecosystem degraded by deforestation and soil depletion has worsened the devastation, and that measures such as restoring proper rainfall cycles and vegetation along riverbanks should be taken.

Deforestation in Indonesia linked to floods
The loss of forests to make way for mining, cultivation and other human activities has, according to environmentalists contributed to floods and landslides, worsening damage in northern Sumatra due to tropical cyclone "Senyar", meanwhile the death toll in Indonesia has risen to over seven hundred people; then over one hundred seventy deaths in Thailand, and due to Cyclone "Ditwah" over four hundred deaths and three hundred missing in Sri Lanka. There is sometimes talk of deep grooves carved by the force of intense rainfall in elevated areas which have carried large masses of mud and debris funneling them into streets turned into muddy rivers that have flooded homes and businesses, making it difficult for people to even obtain food, and movements are almost always severely hindered in the affected areas.

Obstacles to sky observation in Atacama
A project for a large renewable energy field with wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, a desalination plant and a port risks hindering sky observation in Atacama in Chile on the Pacific coast; at least according to astronomers who argue that one of the darkest spots on Earth, located in a desert and inhospitable area, making it suitable for studying the origins of the universe and planet formation, could be affected by light pollution, dust, vibrations, and even atmospheric turbulence. Regarding renewable energy it has long been requested that it be more ecological, with every component produced coming from a controlled supply chain that does not impact the environment during production, including the extraction of materials necessary for assembly or other production aspects.

Role of climate change in Asian floods
With the death toll exceeding eleven hundred people across Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, some have once again pointed out how climate change is causing extreme rainfall and significantly intensifying storms in the region. Meanwhile the situation in western Sumatra is particularly difficult for the population, often hungry and in need of everything while there is controversy over the slow arrival of aid and relief efforts, the floods have carried large amounts of mud and debris that hinder rescue operations to find the hundreds of people still missing, then digging is also needed beneath the numerous landslides. In Sri Lanka according to authorities international assistance is required in addition to the use of helicopters, then it is being described as one of the worst disasters in the country's history.

Potentially pandemic avian influenza
Due to outbreaks of H5N1 avian influenza hundreds of millions of birds have been culled in recent years causing disruptions in food supply chains and rising prices, then the risk of a pandemic worse than that caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus for Covid-19 is increasing, although for the moment human infections remain quite rare. According to experts the problem is that the virus could adapt to infect mammals and then humans potentially leading to human-to-human transmission, but unlike SARS-CoV-2 which was mainly lethal for vulnerable individuals avian influenza could be deadly for healthy individuals, including children; however several antiviral medicines are available that should be effective against the avian influenza virus allowing for vaccine preparation.

Flooding difficulties in southern Thailand
The death toll in southern Thailand would have risen to thirty-three due to flooding after days of heavy rainfall in seven provinces, which authorities have described as the worst in three centuries. A state of emergency has been declared for Songkhla Province, with over twelve hundred residents forced to leave their flooded homes, the tourist destination of Hat Yai has also been affected. There are reports of people being electrocuted as well as drowned due to the torrents of overflowing water that have turned streets into rivers, with people trying to save themselves by swimming among cars and debris carried away by the force of the water. Floods in Thailand and damage assessment in Vietnam
Days of heavy rainfall have caused widespread flooding in southern Thailand due to the collapse of sections of river embankments, at least one death has been reported in Songkhla province with thousands of people evacuated and entire districts flooded, and many flights canceled; affected residents are often forced to move through water and rescuers use boats to help people in distress. In Vietnam the death toll from recent floods in central areas of the country has reportedly risen to ninety-one with eleven people missing, authorities are assessing the extensive damage for recovery efforts: two hundred thirty-five thousand homes were flooded and eighty thousand hectares of crops were damaged, making this a climate event described as one of the worst in decades in terms of its impact on the territory.

Silence on phasing out fossil fuel use in COP30
The conference in Belem in Brazil COP30 concluded with a compromise regarding the increase in funds to help poor countries cope with climate change, but it apparently omits any mention of phasing out fossil fuel use. Some protested with polemical speeches arguing that emissions cannot continue to rise and that the future of upcoming generations is compromised, then the money cannot be eaten essentially referring to the fact that when land is no longer arable or lands are submerged due to rising seas it will no longer be possible to obtain the necessary sustenance for entire populations. Voluntary actions are encouraged to accelerate the transition to less polluting energy sources, but for example it has long been noted that even in this sector the production chain is not very environmentally friendly.

Earthquake in central Bangladesh
There are reportedly at least ten victims and over a hundred injured due to a quake estimated between magnitude 5.5 and 5.7, which shook old Dhaka and other nearby densely populated areas of the capital. Panic spread among the population who poured into the streets not knowing where to take shelter; criticism arose over the lack of large open spaces, which exposed people to the risk of buildings collapsing on those trying to avoid falling debris during a fairly strong earthquake that was also felt in India. When planning the layout of a city in addition to considering earthquake-resistant standards, escape routes and suitable open spaces should be provided to accommodate large numbers of people (for example in public parks) which should also be prepared in advance to manage emergencies.

Artificial intelligence not recommended for children
The use of generative artificial intelligence chatbot applications according to experts could cause cognitive and learning deficits, language delays, overweight and obesity and therefore would be discouraged for children; moreover these applications capable of generating images capture the attention of young people by exploiting the vulnerabilities of a mind that is still developing. As for adults a recent study revealed that it is now no longer possible to distinguish AI-generated music (assuming it can even be called musical art) from that composed by humans. The data centers that support generative artificial intelligence consume large amounts of energy and water for cooling computer boards, and furthermore these electronic centers take up land that could be used for other purposes.

Discussions on who will host the COP31 conference
Australian authorities have reportedly stated that they do not intend to oppose Turkey as the host country for the upcoming COP31 conference on reducing pollutant emissions; in fact, doing so would not send a good signal regarding the unity needed to effectively act on global climate issues. Australia had previously declared itself willing to host the conference also due to the proximity of the Pacific Islands threatened by tropical cyclones and rising sea levels, but apparently estimates of the COP31 costs played a role in a step back. If neither Australia nor Turkey accepts the choice could fall on the city of Bonn in Germany and in the meantime discussions on this issue continue, but studies estimate that emissions from fossil fuels are set to reach a new record by 2025.

Impact of climate change on winter sports
Many will have noticed how often in the mountains you only see a narrow trail of hard "artificial" snow on the slopes, flanked by green fields and trees not covered in snow and this can only have a significant impact on winter sports, for example a study conducted in 2024 found that the number of locations suitable to host the Olympic Games was rapidly decreasing due to climate change, with only half of the twenty-one previously identified locations still suitable to host them by 2050. Ski athletes complain about how competition conditions have changed due to higher temperatures; many typical training parameters need to be adjusted and corresponding schedules revised, sports equipment adapted; and almost always it is no longer possible to train on glaciers in the summer.

Last days of water for Tehran in Iran
It is estimated that there are about nine days of water left in the reserves of the city of Tehran which has ten million inhabitants and Iranian authorities if it does not rain will have to evacuate the capital due to a water emergency that some describe as national and extraordinary, trying to find a place to host citizens. Controversy surrounds how the reserves have been managed, with an outdated water distribution network, decades of over-pumping water and unrestrained use of the remaining water, so much so that the example of Cape Town in South Africa is mentioned, which in 2015 facing a severe water crisis managed within less than two years to reduce water consumption by about fifty percent by planning measures such as increasing recycling, transparency in usage, fixing leaks, public education, and setting a realistic price for water resources.

Demand for fossil fuels could remain high
A rapid shift to cleaner energy was expected but it seems that demand for fossil fuels could remain high, at least according to statements from an international energy agency which also highlights how climate targets for emissions reduction may not be achieved, for example with the United States intending to further increase oil and gas production. It is generally estimated that oil production will reach one hundred thirteen million barrels by 2050 which is thirteen percent more than in 2024. Recently there was much debate during the COP30 climate conference in Brazil about the authorization to exploit deposits about five hundred kilometers off the coast from the mouth of the Amazon River for a large field that could make the country a major oil exporter.

Global emissions remain far too high
Despite initiatives taken by many countries around the world (most recently by the European Union which aims to reduce emissions by ninety percent by 2040 albeit with flexibility) global emissions are still far too high to prevent excessive warming of the planet; in fact, are expected to increase by 2.3 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, with India topping this decidedly unhealthy ranking, followed by China, Russia, and Indonesia. This is a rather high increase considering recent years and is practically comparable to the rise in emissions seen in the 2000s, however the European Union was the only entity to cut greenhouse gas emissions in 2024. It is necessary for all countries that have not yet reduced emissions to set more ambitious targets because the projected trajectory of global warming is concerning.

Energy from the sea with a flexible rubber tube
It is possible to produce clean energy from the sea using a large flexible tube made of natural rubber anchored to the seabed flexible and durable with reinforcing rubber tendons inside that floats following the motion of the waves, moving somewhat figuratively like a "surfing anaconda" floating on the waves; at least according to English researchers who claim that water enters the tube inflating it. When the speed of the ocean waves approaches the internal speed that inflates the water in the tube, which moves while floating on the waves it produces the transfer of resonance energy with pressures on the structure. This project started sixteen years ago utilizing decades of research, and has since undergone significant improvements reducing the amount of material needed to produce the tube and enhancing its capacity to generate energy.

The hurricane in the Caribbean is approaching Bermuda
There are reportedly forty-nine victims in the Caribbean islands affecting from the powerful hurricane "Melissa," at least according to a new tragic report provided by authorities who warn that missing persons are still being searched for under rubble and debris caused by the passage of the devastating vortex approaching Bermuda. No victims have been reported in Cuba, but the island was left in darkness with damage to houses and crops in eastern areas, isolated communities; more than seven hundred thirty thousand people had been evacuated, and tourists were accommodated in more protected inland hotels. At least twenty people are reported dead in Haiti due to the passage of the powerful hurricane "Melissa", in Jamaica island, there is talk of a trail of destruction with wind gusts reaching up to three hundred kilometers per hour especially in western regions and five victims; then there are also casualties in Cuba and the Dominican Republic. The Bahamas are currently affected by a Category two storm; in fact, the hurricane gradually lost strength, but initially in Jamaica it moved very slowly, causing greater destruction, some say it was the worst ever experienced on the island, with flooding, entire communities struggling to survive and requesting aid and assistance, infrastructure often damaged or destroyed, roofs torn off, and crops flooded.

Protecting life from extreme heat and pollution
The lives of millions of people could be saved from extreme heat waves, pollution, and intensified climate disasters if measures identified long ago were actually implemented which in practice remain on the table, at least according to a report highlighting how the global health impact of climate change could be devastating and destabilizing. This is also in anticipation of the COP30 conference to be held in Brazil in November where decisions will need to be made on which measures to take to mitigate the now uncontrollable climate warming (in 2024 for the first time, with average temperatures more than one and a half degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels). To report on a different topic but still related to nature-related issues, it should be noted that the severe hurricane "Melissa" affecting Jamaica and Cuba has been downgraded although it remains dangerous.

A powerful hurricane is about to strike Jamaica
The category five hurricane named "Melissa," the strongest since 1851, is very close to the island of Jamaica in the Caribbean and flooding, landslides and severe damage are expected, the projected path is then towards Cuba and subsequently the Bahamas. Authorities have already set up shelters also stating that it will be difficult to withstand the strength of the powerful storm, and about fifty thousand households are already without electricity due to fallen trees on power lines and landslides, but many residents do not want to leave their homes, trying to reinforce them and prepare their crops for the hurricane's impact. Previously there were reports of three victims in Jamaica, three in Haiti, and one in the Dominican Republic.

Earthquake without damage near Avellino in Italy
A magnitude 4.0 earthquake with its epicenter in an area on the border between Avellino and Benevento in Campania region without any significant damage caused concern among the population which had been affected decades ago by the disastrous Irpinia earthquake, many people slept in their cars, and there is talk of schools being closed as a precaution (other tremors had been recorded earlier, one of magnitude 3.6). There is a seismic swarm due to the bradyseism phenomenon at the Phlegraean Fields near Naples, but experts declare that there would be no connection with the earthquake. To report changing the subject but remaining on natural topics the unusually high temperatures for the season reported in Sicily, in Catania it reached thirty-two Celsius degrees, and in Palermo slightly less with the Mondello beach crowded and people swimming in the sea as in summer, it is also hot in Greece with temperatures around thirty degrees.

Study for a more proper use of antidepressants
Noting an influence on weight, blood pressure and heart rate from the use of certain antidepressants, a study (fifty-eight thousand participants and thirty antidepressants in the first eight weeks of treatment) emphasizes how these medications can have significant side effects even after just a few weeks of use; therefore, an antidepressant should be targeted to the specific characteristics of an individual, raising questions about the interchangeability of this type of medicines, but without wanting to discourage the patient from potential use and aiming for a more proper use. To report changing the subject but remaining on salutary issues a Japanese study highlighted a relationship between COVID-related "brain fog" and an unusually high number of receptors involved in neurotransmission in the central nervous system.

A tropical storm affects the Caribbean Sea
The tropical storm named "Melissa" caused one death and five injuries in Haiti and affected the central Caribbean Sea, including the islands of Jamaica and Hispaniola. There are reports of fallen trees and floods while the strong vortex remains offshore, but according to forecasts it could move near Jamaica and the southwest of Haiti in the coming days intensifying into a strong hurricane; then the sea is warm and the storm moves very slowly creating unfavorable effects for the areas involved. To report on a different note but still related to natural topics the complaints that have been raised by some who argue that the Data Centers built and under construction to support artificial intelligence consume too much water to cool the heat exchangers, estimated at one hundred and forty billion liters of water worldwide in 2023.

A disaster and extreme event warning system
Providing news twenty-four hours in advance of possible disasters and extreme events through a surveillance system with appropriate alerts could reduce damage by over thirty percent, at least according to international organizations which emphasize that no country is immune and that climate change is pushing the planet to its limits with unstoppable ecosystem degradation. To report on a different note yet staying within the realm of technology, that some even claim to integrate artificial intelligence into every aspect of the economy, but research has shown that if one tries to verify the reliability of the responses provided by well-known applications supported by generative artificial intelligence, reliability is not guaranteed, and in fact one can also encounter a variety of mistakes and absurdities.

A tornado near Paris and smog in New Delhi
Damage occurred in about ten districts of France affected by a tornado, with reports of one victim and four serious injuries due to the collapse of three cranes on construction sites; the city of Ermont, twenty kilometers northeast of Paris was particularly affected. As for New Delhi the already difficult situation due to smog which often makes the air unbreathable has been worsened by the arrival of millions of people for the celebrations of a festival meant to symbolize the victory of light over darkness, but in reality the use of a large number of fireworks might demonstrate the opposite environmentally significantly increasing fine particulate matter with toxic chemical components in the air, then in theory there are less polluting alternatives to fireworks such as using LED lights and drones to simulate light effects.

Climate change favors cases of malaria
Higher temperatures and flooding caused by climate change are believed to have increased areas suitable for mosquito breeding, according to a study that emphasizes how after two decades of progress in efforts to combat malaria (which is potentially fatal and impacts economies and living conditions), these gains could be undone due to limited funding for expensive prevention initiatives for growing human populations; additionally, medicines and insecticides have become less effective and global insecurity further weakens the effectiveness of interventions. In Rwanda for example mosquito breeding sites now exist even at high altitudes and the Asian Anopheles mosquito appears to have spread to Africa; then a vaccine is available but it is not very effective while awaiting a new formulation.

Deforestation targets not met
By permanently losing over eight million hectares of forests in 2024 alone an area roughly the size of England the planet would be sixty-three percent away from the deforestation targets set in Glasgow in 2021 by one hundred and forty countries; therefore, we are far from being able to meet the goal of reversing deforestation practices by 2030. This is mainly due to the expansion of agricultural practices, the search for mines for gold and coal extraction, forest fires, and the lack of compliance with environmental protection regulations, there are also climate change for example with prolonged droughts and diseases that weaken trees plays a role. Apparently the subsidies planned for the agricultural sector end up fueling deforestation to meet market demand that could be satisfied in other ways.

Storm in Alaska with state of emergency
The remnants of what was Typhoon "Halong" have devastated two villages in Alaska, with reports of at least one fatality and two missing in the native community in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta in the southwest of the country, nearly eight hundred kilometers from Anchorage; more than fifteen hundred people have been evacuated with the communities of Kipnuk (where a devastating situation is reported) and Kwigillingok particularly affected. According to experts the storm was fueled by the surface warming of the Pacific Ocean caused by human activities. To report changing the subject but remaining on natural themes that the tipping point for tropical coral reefs may have been surpassed, with coral mortality for example reaching new records in 2023 and showing signs of ecosystem collapse if bleaching lasts more than two years.

Study on temperatures and microplastic release
Many studies have focused on how many microplastics are present in water, but all liquids that are consumed contain them, in particular it seems that coffee, tea, drinks, juices, and energy drinks significantly contribute to reaching the daily amount of these unhealthy microplastics. A connection between temperature and microplastic release has also been observed with hot tea showing the highest concentration, and heat appears to accelerate this release from the plastic packaging materials of the product (the tea bag had previously been noted). It is necessary to evaluate total exposure to microplastics from all beverages to have a more complete picture if one does not want to underestimate the actual level of exposure.

Record CO2 Levels for 2024 and a vicious cycle
A combination of continued emissions from fossil fuels and a reduction in what is absorbed by forests, oceans, and other natural resources for carbon dioxide capture has led to record CO2 levels in the atmosphere in 2024 (since such data began being recorded in 1957), according to a report by international agencies. The report highlights how the average annual increase rose from 2.4 parts per million per year in the decade from 2011 to 2020 to 3.5 ppm from 2023 to 2024. The consequences of humanity's reckless behavior and unrestrained consumption of fossil fuels have resulted in increasingly extreme climatic events, disturbing the delicate carbon cycle and creating a self-reinforcing vicious cycle; therefore it is urgent to find effective solutions to reverse this trend.

New volcanic eruption in Indonesia
Indonesian authorities in East Nusa Tenggara have raised the alert to the highest level due to a new eruption of the Lewotobi Laki-Laki volcano on the island of Flores in south-central Indonesia, which is over seventeen hundred meters high with a double peak; there is talk of possible evacuations, as well as warnings to residents and tourists to stay away from the affected area, operations at the local airport in the city of Maumere are suspended. to report changing the subject but remaining on natural themes that environmentalists have reported a decline in wild bee colonies (and butterfly) in Europe which can consequently also affect wild plants that depend on them for vital pollination; then recently there have been torrential storms in Spain with floods in Catalonia leaving people trapped in cars and houses submerged in water.

A law regulating chatbots in California
Operators of AI-based chatbots will be required to regulate them to safeguard interactions with users, at least according to the intentions of a law enacted in California; as recently online users have increasingly been using these artificial dialogue systems to look for accurate information despite the growing misinformation associated with these chatbots. There have been definitely unpleasant incidents involving young people whose attention was caught by generative AI, and therefore there is an effort to regulate chatbots so that they cannot interact with children or vulnerable individuals to induce them to extreme actions; consequently chatbot operators will need to adopt safety measures and provide a pathway that helps address potential tragedies and harm to users.

Pirates in jacket and necktie
By now the traditional image of the pirates organizes in groups from corsairs armed of guns and knives to the cingula have yielded the step to the new predator dressed in jacket and necktie that is annoying the web (bandits that unload entire site and they identify the protection keys, steal the symbols, musics..), even with one name of all security that hides the deceit to before the tacking of click. As an example writing "salutary.eu" on a famous search engine between the entrance connections to the site www.salutistico.it, others do not authorize links appear between which also one to those in order to unload freewares, but that practically they turn out to payment through Dialer. Attention to the pirates, exploratory of the web Internet, sails in sure waters; in fact the Demo of the program "Well-being Body - Mind - Soul" deposited that it enjoys all the copyrights can unload free from my salutary.eu Internet site or salutary.eu compiling the appropriate card of recording (and subsequently with relative password communicated) and I dissociate myself from the use of my software to payment for whichever site different from the mine. To notice unfortunately that also writing "salutistico.it" for the original site, are visualized links truculent or trap. - Lately is disappeared the intere site from some search engines.. (that evidently could use the same criteria of selection).
