Obesity in girls leads to precocious puberty
What is called as a kind of global obesity epidemic would have a new study of particularly negative effects in children with precocious puberty, irregular growth, socio-emotional problems with possible risk of depression and abuse of related substances, then in the girls it has been noted that if they are obese and have a belly fat between the age of four and seven years is frequent that start puberty before nine years (as for males has been controversial). The research would also have shown that having a prominent belly means having more than twice the risk of precocious puberty compared to obesity, probably because the belly is more related to the fat mass in the calculation of the B.M.I. since in other cases it is widespread muscle mass in the body.
