Condition of infrastructure and means of transportation
Climate change with significant temperature fluctuations, heavy rainstorms and strong winds often tends to worsen the condition of infrastructure by weakening road surfaces, causing cracks that can later turn into sometimes deep potholes. Vehicles should be appropriately adapted, for example by reinforcing tires, shock absorbers, torsion bars and stabilizers; in fact, beyond causing breakdowns, there is a risk of losing control of the vehicle leading to dangerous accidents. Some people say that in electric and hybrid cars, hitting a deep pothole can damage the battery pack or reduce performance, these vehicles are generally heavier than combustion cars, which in theory makes them more likely to suffer damage when driving over a pothole, in addition to widening it due to the impact of a moving vehicle with a possible pothole.
