Management of energy sources increasingly difficult The growing global demand for energy raises questions regarding the management and exploitation of energy sources also considering the recent increase in fossil fuel prices due to a conflict, some return to talking about nuclear energy but just a few days away from the fifteenth anniversary of the serious disaster at Fukushima Daiichi in Japan with the meltdown of three reactor cores putting the entire world at risk and still requiring significant interventions for final safety measures. It does not seem very appropriate to give the example of using energy plasma as happens in the Sun for technologies not yet adequately tested and which will probably require decades to be perfected; indeed for example the compression conditions for fusion in the Sun are much lower compared to those on Earth. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 14/03/2026

Evaluations of artificial intelligence robot videos A detailed analysis of videos appearing online on a social media platform showing humanoid warrior robots like those in science fiction films, revealed that these are videos created with generative artificial intelligence, essentially these are computerized video productions (with sequences of images reworked and assembled) showing Asian dancing robots performing specific dance routines already generally known to the public; however even if these videos are fake, there remains the unease that these warrior robots could soon become a reality. A super-athlete robot endowed with super-intelligence far superior to human intelligence is in theory already just around the corner in a figurative sense as far as technology and it goes without saying that prohibitions should be put in place to prevent this aberrant scenario from becoming reality. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 06/03/2026 n: 6197 Transition to renewables increasingly necessary The recent fluctuations in the fossil fuel market due to conflicts in important areas for the supply of oil and gas, with sharply rising prices and rather worrying forecasts for the energy markets make a transition to renewable energy increasingly necessary, but it must be truly renewable with a controlled supply chain, low emissions in production, environmentally sustainable raw materials and respect for labor conditions in extraction from the ground. For example it seems that in Africa last year there was a record fifty-four percent increase in solar capacity, more than half with solar farms connected to the electricity grid and installed under the initiative of authorities, and many countries around the world have made progress in this regard; then more investment would be needed in geothermal energy and in energy obtained from tides. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 04/03/2026 n: 6195 Condition of infrastructure and means of transportation Climate change with significant temperature fluctuations, heavy rainstorms and strong winds often tends to worsen the condition of infrastructure by weakening road surfaces, causing cracks that can later turn into sometimes deep potholes. Vehicles should be appropriately adapted, for example by reinforcing tires, shock absorbers, torsion bars and stabilizers; in fact, beyond causing breakdowns, there is a risk of losing control of the vehicle leading to dangerous accidents. Some people say that in electric and hybrid cars, hitting a deep pothole can damage the battery pack or reduce performance, these vehicles are generally heavier than combustion cars, which in theory makes them more likely to suffer damage when driving over a pothole, in addition to widening it due to the impact of a moving vehicle with a possible pothole. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 27/02/2026 n: 6191 Equipping technologies with a stop button A technology without a button, a lever, or a plug that can be removed to turn it off is obviously not positive, just as uncontrolled power can cause more harm than benefits; therefore for example generative artificial intelligence should not have areas of autonomy and any decision it makes should have human supervision. Even the father of artificial intelligence (G.H.) talks about the risk that it could become smarter than us and take over also because it is impossible to predict what advancements this technology will make. There are figurative parallels drawn with maternal instincts and other typical human characteristics as a way to put some brakes on it, but in the case of a super-intelligent AI it is difficult to imagine a scenario of unregulated competition to develop technology that is not human-centered. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 20/02/2026 n: 6185 UK intentions to ban social media for young people Perhaps by the end of the year Britain could follow Australia's example and then later similar initiatives and intentions in France, Spain, Greece, and Slovenia to ban social media for those under sixteen, then pressure is also growing in this direction on social media platforms to safeguard young people's health even though there are tensions in creating strict regulations in the sector. Another point to note is the question some have raised regarding so-called "digital clones" of a person allowed by generative artificial intelligence which can survive the death of the individual, it's as if a deceased person continued to live and act virtually; therefore, measures should be taken to prevent such a situation, moreover just talking about a virtual clone of a human being is already quite disturbing. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 17/02/2026 n: 6182 Initiatives to protect young people from Internet Data monitored on how adolescents are influenced by digital applications shows a clear increase in the distress experienced by the most vulnerable youngsters, especially during transitional periods considered critical for character development (with a brain not yet fully developed), therefore some propose initiatives for targeted interventions, educational programs and preventive actions; then enhancing digital security, providing psychosocial support, all to offer support at every level to the people involved for an effective protection against potential online risks. Banning the use of social networks for those under sixteen is already a regulation to be adopted for example planned in countries like France and Spain and generally the European Union aims not only at social networks but also considers banning artificial intelligence, although there is resistance to these initiatives. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 11/02/2026 n: 6177 Better not to post images on social networks Sensitive information from people who post private images on social networks could be extracted using computer techniques by artificial intelligence and used to train it for various purposes, at least according to some who argue that from a photo depicting a person, from their gestures, clothing and related colors, and from objects in the background it is possible to train specific algorithms for example for targeted sales or advertising specifically designed for that subject without explicit consent. When using social networks the use is not free; in fact, the data entered is the commercial product and the more data provided to this questionable computer technology the greater the possibility of becoming precise virtual targets for specific commercial initiatives, thus becoming the product of these organizations. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 20/01/2026 n: 6158 Proposals to ban the Use of AI for explicit content Many countries are considering imposing limits, bans, and safeguards on the use of an artificial intelligence application to post so-called deepfake explicit content online (essentially posting false images of a person in a "state of undress" without consent) created using a controversial chatbot. Malaysia and Indonesia are the first countries to have blocked the application, the United Kingdom is proposing legislation to punish those who post intimate images online without consent, France has alerted its cyber control platform, Italy issued a notice from the privacy regulatory authority and there have been various initiatives taken for example by Sweden and India. It should be noted that a large amount of energy is required to support these generative AI chatbots with inevitable related pollution. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 14/01/2026 n: 6153 Using water to put out the fire instead of filming Following the news of the massacre of at least forty young people, one hundred ten injured and some missing during a party at a Swiss resort in Crans-Montana to celebrate the New Year due to a fire, probably caused by sparklers candles, it is questioned how the youths didn’t start putting out the fire with buckets of water in the early stages instead of wasting time filming the scene with their smartphones to post on social media. Perhaps they could have prevented the fire from spreading quickly through the wooden ceiling with a phenomenon that experts say can even cause explosions due to the intense heat released, in the absence of security systems. To report on a different note but still on technological topics that France is proposing a ban on social media use for children under fifteen years old following the Australian regulatory model. e-mail: info@salutary.eu Tel: +39 338 1809310 Date: 02/01/2026 n: 6144 Technology and publications * The author doesn't assume some kind of responsibility for the bad use of the articles councils (all rights are reserved) |
