Immune system prepared against 19-nCoV

Having a debilitated immune system can affect the whole body and be less ready to deal with the healthy consequences of a possible Covid-19 coronavirus infection; so some suggest not neglecting small gestures such as proper dental hygiene, so as not to compromise the ability to respond to pathogens due to some infection in the oral cavity. To prevent plaque from being form on your teeth, it is better to avoid foods that are too sugary and to brush the teeth thoroughly at each meal; in fact, the bacteria that form the plaque can enter in the bloodstream with the result that the immune system reacts with the production in the liver of C-reactive protein with consequences on the cardiovascular system in the long term. Generally a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables as well as regular exercise and meditation can be useful to boost the immune system.

Relax to reduce the stress from isolation

The stress condition caused by the isolation imposed for containment measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus could be very harmful to the body and mind; so it might be useful to do some relaxation exercise by making sure that smartphones and computers or other equipment can not, for example, disturb a moment of healthy meditation (better to turn everything off, focus on silence avoiding thinking and moving any muscle). Those who are quarantined for the SARS-CoV-2 disease or as a precaution should be careful not to eat unregulated so as not to spoil their health and continuing to exercise physically to free-bodied or perhaps with makeshift tools. Exercises can also be useful to boosting the immune system and regaining a minimum of balance.

Smokers more vulnerable in case of nCoV infection

Smokers may be among the most vulnerable in the case of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, at least according to the results of several studies (of which data availability is currently limited) that show that more serious complications have been found in tobacco patients perhaps due to an enzyme that increases sensitivity to the virus especially in hardened smokers; then comparing other types of data related this time to the percentage of people who have symptoms apparently the percentage monitored in China by about eighty percent drops to seventy in Europe. Among the most vulnerable would also be patients over the age of seventy and suffering from hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and generally more men than women. To report changing argument the significant increase in the number of infections in the United States above those monitored in Italy.

Clean phones well from viruses and bacteria

In an age when almost everyone has a smartphone or mobile phone in their pocket realize how important it is to keep them clean and disinfected by any viruses and bacteria, since often swipe the touch screen with the fingers to activate the various functions maybe after touching some infected surface without noticing risking to contaminate them (it seems for example that the COVID-19 coronavirus lasts for hours and days permanently on these devices). To clean the mobile phone should first turn it off, wash your hands thoroughly and then remove the dust and gently pass some soapy water on the screen being careful to avoid to "flood" the area of the headphones or power, in addition to that of microphone, activation and volume keys; if the instructions of the device allow it can use cotton wool soaked in denatured alcohol or special alcohol disinfectant solution. This can also be useful for tablets, keyboards, and computer touchpads.

First reduce pollution then think about COVID-19

Many people become seriously ill and lose their lives every day in the world due to pollution than those infected with COVID-19 coronaviruses; in fact, for the moment the global death rates calculated due to the virus outbreak is very low, so it is nonsensical attitudes that distort the habits of life. The statements of infected people about health conditions seem to show how mild the infection is in reality in most cases, although this does not mean that precautions are not necessary in the affected areas to prevent the spread of the virus. In Italy for example there has been controversy over how the media has over-insisted on the topic of coronavirus and perhaps some infections were not even real, then as far as masks they are probably more useful to protect themselves pollution that respect from the virus.

First quit smoking and then think about COVID-19

The irrational attitudes of some inhabitants of Italian regions affected by coronavirus infections with queues to buy the latest masks and various disinfectants (without considering the reessa at supermarkets) should remind that as a percentage many more people lose their lives due to the unhealthy consequences of cigarette smoking and obesity than those infected with COVID-19; although caution is in any case appropriate to avoid the epidemic by avoiding crowded places and thoroughly washing the hands, but continuing to live normally. Perhaps in the affected areas the authorities should wash the streets and places very frequented with the help of disinfectants; in fact, it has not rained for a long time and this could fauvoring the spread of the virus outbreak, a bit like fires in dry vegetation. Keeping fit and exercising can be useful at the preventive level.

Heatwave in Australia

High temperatures monitored in large areas of Australia with a record of almost forty-one degrees Celsius in the city of Perth (capital of the west of the country) and thus exceeding that of six years ago, are set to increase further; at least according to the weather forecast that announce a heat wave with peaks of forty-five degrees and maybe even higher. Temperatures are also very high in Sydney where the air is unbreathable and many people have been hospitalized due to the inhaled particulate matter released by columns of smoke that have been rising for weeks since bushfires in New South Wales and reach large distances; declared a state of emergency for seven days, while the population protests the lack of sensitivity of the ammnistrators to the climate issue, of having done little to reduce emissions and in practice the city is almost unlivable.

More health problems for e-cigarettes

A large number of cases (over a thousand including eighteen victims) of e-cigarette smoke inhalation diseases would have been reported in the United States, while a Canadian study warns that they are not very effective for those who want to use them as a ploy to try to quit smoking; in fact, only fifteen to twenty percent seem to succeed in this attempt and sixty to seventy percent continue to smoke paper and tobacco cigarettes in addition to electronic cigarettes. To convince younger people to buy e-cigarettes, it seems that the most advanced social media techniques that also use so-called social influencers to increase sales have been used; then the latest devices deliver more nicotine in the areas or there are fragrant components present in charging liquids that can cause damage to blood vessels. Health authorities are also trying to identify the substances responsible for severe irritation in the pulmonary alveoli.

Microplastics in the air in Krakow

By analysing the composition of various pollutants, Polish researchers would find microplastic particles in the air of the city of Krakow, which were derived from air pollutants that had deposited during the winter on a roof, declaring themselves surprised by the presence of such a quantity of microplastics consisting of fibres, microballs and fragments among the polluting dusts while they are still working to identify the exact composition. Plastic products are usually manufactured with thousands of types of synthetic polymers, but even without a detailed analysis of the composition it is possible to identify the various plastic fragments; then with regard to the health effects of their inhalation or ingestion are not yet available sufficient studies. It is generally preferable to wear cotton clothes to prevent plastic fibers with use and washing from ending up in the environment.

Electronic cigarettes harmful to lung cells

By studying the harmful effects of the liquid contained in three different brands of aromatic refills for e-cigarettes (even non-nicotine-containing) the Australian researchers would have found that inhaled smoke can kill epithelial cells of the airways; moreover, vapours can hinder the immune system which then tries to remove these cells from the body. It should be noted that the number of twelve to seventeen year olds who were non-smokers and tried e-cigarettes would triple from 2013 to 2016. It should be reported by changing the subject but remaining on news concerning the respiratory system that the particulate matter contained in the fumes of exhausted vehicles and coal-fired energy production plants can reach the placenta (accumulating not favoring the passage of nutrients) and for example dark particles would have been found from the part near the fetus, but apparently without passing this protective barrier.
