Increasingly industrial foods for global markets

Seems unstoppable the tend to replace traditional foods and local distribution chains with industrial waste and raw materials travelling around the globe even though are many oppositions, as happened recently with the so-called TTIP (Transatlantic Trade Investment Partnership) that would open a large marked between America and Europe in order to give a boost to the economies but according to some with negative effects on the environment and on food production crafts typical of Mediterranean culture. That the way we produce and consume food derived from ancient cultural traditions is proved from the fact that the Mediterranean diet has become a world heritage and is connected to a peasant civilization and religious way of life handed down from typical rural areas rather poor with short chains that cannot find points of agreement with industrial cultures and foods tested in the laboratory.
