Only the tip of the nCoV iceberg in India
The data provided by the Indian health authorities communicate almost three hundred and eighty thousand cases of contagion in a day with over three thousand and six hundred victims, marking a new record; but some say that these figures are still underestimated and perhaps figuratively this is only the tip of the iceberg of the situation regarding the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection in the country, while continues the controversy over the authorisations given to events involving large masses of the population in practice without distancing and the use of masks. The Indian variant that has two mutations in the spike protein of the virus may have played a role in facilitating infections and for example by shifting the focus to Italy concern the cases monitored with this variant in passengers of an aircraft coming from India and an outbreak in the province of Latina.
