New theory about the extinction of dinosaurs
It was thought that the extinction of the dinosaurs was caused by a huge asteroid that hit the Earth about sixty-six million years ago from a point identified currently as Gulf of Mexico, but British researchers claim that were already declining tens of millions of years before the impact from the space of the rocky body decreed the final order. The dinosaurs were dying out at a faster rate than that sufficient to maintain the population of these large reptiles that had dominated the land; moreover apparently the long-necked sauropods were undergoing a fast decline, while it was more gradual in the theropods (group of the famous Tyrannosaurus). It is also obvious that the situation of the dinosaurs is similar to that of many species that now are dying out because of climate change caused by man and are exposed to a possible final annihilation.
