Proposals for coffee cultivation in new countries
Climate change has caused coffee production to drop in many countries such as Brazil and Vietnam where fluctuating rainfall has favored the formation of mold, fungi and plant diseases, with a consequent rise in prices also because demand generally remains quite high (but declining in Europe), so to balance this reduction there would be proposals for new crops in countries less affected by climate change or where now there seem to be more favorable climatic conditions such as Togo, Ivory Coast and Kenya in Africa. There has been talk of records lately for the prices of Arabica quality beans (the most valuable and with the greatest healthy characteristics) and also partially for the prices of robusta, so action should be taken to improve productivity by preventing growers discouraged by climate change from neglecting plant care.
