Radon gas control in homes in Canada
A study highlighted how in Canada the percentage of deaths due to cancer remains high despite the control tools used, how the forecasts for the year 2026 are not very reassuring in this regard and how cancer remains overall the main cause of death. Generally lung cancer is very common (often linked to cigarette smoking) and there are also unexpected hidden dangers such as that represented by radon gas in some Canadian homes; in fact, this invisible, toxic and carcinogenic gas could be present in millions of houses to the extent that monitoring systems are being considered, given that high percentages of lung cancer in both women and men cannot be explained by tobacco consumption and other factors such as lifestyle, radon and air pollution need to be taken into account.
