Moringa seeds clean water of microplastics
An extract from moringa seeds, a plant known to be very nutritious and healthy, according to researchers would be excellent for purifying drinking water from microplastics as well as common chemical components, then seems that moringa trees have been known for their water purification properties since the times of the ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians and now studies are being conducted to see if this is due to a kind of coagulating effect that allows microplastic particles to stick together and then be filtered. The tiny particles one micrometer in size of microplastic result from the progressive fragmentation of plastic polluting various environments from the oceans to the mountains and can for example cause tissue inflammation; in animals reproductive and hormonal problems have been observed.
