Important primary fire prevention
With climate change vegetation tends to be drier and more susceptible to any potential fire and flames then spread faster in the areas affected by the fires than in the past often with winds generated by the flames themselves as scorching whirlwinds, so primary prevention is really important. For example it’s a good to remove grass, vegetation, branches and dry brush that can fuel flames, then get rid of any kind of hydrocarbon and fuel storage near buildings; needless to say everything needs to be under control the areas where intervention is needed should be easily accessible and firefighters should be equipped with proper vehicles (with climate change by now bigger firefighting planes are needed, as well as helicopters, water trucks etc.). Firebreak paths in the vegetation should be planned well in advance and be very wide.
