The Ebola outbreak is spreading in Congo
According to health authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo the Bundibugyo strain of the Ebola virus is spreading quickly (with record-high rates compared to previous cases) and there are over two thousand deaths due to delays in monitoring the first infections, conflicts, limited resources in the healthcare system and insecurity in the affected areas that makes it harder for health workers to trace contacts; nearly four thousand four hundred confirmed cases across five provinces. To report switching topics but staying on health issues the life of children in Somalia is at risk, especially in the southwest of the country, due to malnutrition caused by severe drought with repeated poor rainy seasons and lost harvests.
