Ebola containment in Congo needs to be strengthened
Health authorities in Congo are worried about Ebola infections after the latest monitored data was announced, over nine thousand confirmed cases with more than four thousand three hundred deaths (so in this last case almost half of the infections); then many of the victims occurred outside treatment centers and there are also new outbreaks while generally there is a lack of healthcare staff and supplies needed to contain the virus. Last week Kenya reported an imported case from Congo triggering further alarm. To report on a different note but still on health issues cases of measles are on the rise in some areas in the United States, for example recently in New York City there was talk of declaring an emergency, then in Pennsylvania numerous cases have been reported.
